Holocaust Memorial Day - Oscar Findling reading 'First they Came...'

Oscar Findling visited ETC on January 29th 2007 as part of Holocaust Memorial Day and year 9 investigations into the genocide for Humanities. Mr Findling was part of the Kindertransport: 10,000 Jewish children who were given entry into England before the war in 1938. Most of those left behind perished under the Nazis during the Holocaust.

At the end of his talk Mr Findling read two poems, this is the second, 'First they came...'

First they came… is a poem attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group.
